How do you get started?

I just signed up for this site and have looked everywhere but cannot find how to get started IN GAME? I saw one post saying that the guide to do so is blank, and it is, so can someone please re-post or just clue me in on how I am supposed to start playing. Thanks in advance for any help, really is appreciated!

Ummmmm...what inventory...I cannot get into the game, I don't know how to set it up to start playing. Sorry if that was unclear. I'm trying to get the game itself setup to play, I have it installed but I dunno what settings to change to access this server and such.
